Sidewall Ventilation - Top to Down
Controlled air inlet from above
With top to down sidewall ventilation, the system opens from top to bottom. Fresh outside air enters the barn through the upper part of the sidewall and gradually mixes with the barn air. This prevents draught at animal level and ensures an even air distribution throughout the barn.
Applied systems
Within this principle, the TFS, TFD, 2000 system and the 2-Pipe system are applied.

Functional characteristics
The TFS and TFD are equipped with a specially developed telescopic coupling, allowing the curtain to open smoothly from top to bottom without guide rollers. The TFD features a stable central tube for additional strength. The 2000 system and the 2-Pipe system are known for their simple, proven design and excellent value for money.
Functional characteristics
- The system opens from top to bottom. The maximum opening height ranges from approximately 2.5 to 4.5 metres, depending on the system type. Large sidewalls up to 50 or 60 metres wide can be realised, optionally with one motor for double sections. Operation is manual or electric, with optional control via weather computer or switch.
Practical benefits
- Top to down ventilation provides protection against wind and precipitation, ensures a calm airflow and is particularly suitable for long façades and situations where draught reduction is essential.
